The Perfect Holiday Party Playlist
Posted by Sofia TucksonNov 14
While all the elfettes already have their gorgeous looks ready for the upcoming holiday season, its time we focus on the music!
Music for your holiday party is essential to keeping the spirits lively and the party going until the wee hours of the morning! Listen up elfettes, have no fear! I have your must-have playlist!
1. Baby Its Cold Outside – She & Him
Zooey Deschanel is so chic. Shes chic all year round, and especially around the holidays! The “him” half of She & Him, M. Ward isnt too shabby either if youre looking to have a very hipster holiday!
2. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – Mariah Carey
Not the usual, “All I Want For Christmas is You” and surprisingly always over-looked as one of Mariahs greatest songs on her iconic album, Merry Christmas!
3. Last Christmas – Wham!
Last Christmas is my ALL-TIME-FAVORITE song to play during the holidays! If you stop by e.l.f. HQ during the month of December just follow the sweet sounds of George Michael, youll be sure to find me updating the e.l.f. facebook with epic status!
4. Christmas Song – The Ravonettes
This is one of my favorite Christmas songs! Its pretty romantic when you listen to the lyrics and I can just imagine sharing a cup of hot chocolate, listening with the one you love!
5. Little Saint NIck – The Beach Boys
Definitely a feel good holiday song! You cant stop yourself from dancing with this catchy little tune comes on!
6. Britney Spears – My Only Wish (This Year)
Oh Britney, how I love thee. Even when she was bald and totally losing it, the distant memories of getting ready for 6th grade to “Baby, One More Time” gave me hope that wed get the real Britney back one day! And I was so right!
7. Justin Bieber – All I Want For Christmas is You
You didnt think I could leave this off the list all together, did you?! Of course not! I just wanted t a new take on it. And this version is done by the one and only Justin Bieber with a little help from Mariah!
8. Judy Garland – Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
When I was little, I used to stay up super on Christmas Eve and watch “Meet Me In St. Louis” with my Grandma Judy and those are my most favorite Christmas memories. Everytime I heart this song Im transported back to North Carolina with my family and lots of hot chocolate and my favorite homemade chocolate cake! (Song starts at 1:41 mark)
I hope that all you elfettes have the best holiday season! Are there any songs that you would add to a holiday playlist?!
